O Refuxio D´Antón

An excellent choice to eat in Baiona before or after visiting this beautiful town is O Refuxio D´Antón which is in the old town, in Ventura Misa Street, called the Wine's Street too.

O Refuxio D´Antón is a traditional tavern with a long history. This has been a family business for over 70 years. In the beginning, it was a tavern where the sailors enjoyed some time together after work taking a wine or a spirits. The place was reformed a few years ago, but the decoration is very traditional. The tables and chairs are made of wood and there are some wine barrels as tables that recall the place where sailors came together.

O Refuxio D´Anton is a very crowded place and you can´t make a reservation so I recommend you go early to not have to wait a lot but I´m sure that your wait will be worth it.

The menu is small based on local typical tapas. You can eat delicious squid, Padron Peppers, octopus, ham croquettes, “zorza” (meat with herbs typical in Galicia) and omelette, the best dish on the menu! Sometimes you can eat fresh fish too.

 

You can´t order desserts and coffee, and this is the reason because the service is very fast.

The prices are really low. You'll pay around 10 Euros and you'll eat a lot!

If you are looking for a restaurant to eat economical and grilled food I recommend Churrasquería Cuesta (Steak house Cuesta). Churrasquería Cuesta is located in Vigo, five minutes from Balaídos Stadium in Espedrigada Street, 143.

For lunch or for dinner, with your family or your friends, this restaurant is a steak house where you can satisfy your hungry with good grilled meat. It's a place where you can take the typical “churrasco” pork or veal with fries and salad, and others. The best of all are the good prices because you can eat a lot for little money.

A homely restaurant with good people and a traditional and friendly atmosphere.

Interpizza

I'm going to talk about a fantastic place to eat in Vigo. If you want to eat a good pizza you must go to Interpizza.
In this restaurant, the pizza is very good and the price is fair. The service is fast and very friendly.
This pizzeria is in Av. de Balaidos, 26; because of this, you can go by bus or car.
The decoration is very simple; its walls are white and it doesn't have ornaments.
I recommend this restaurant. It's amazing.

The Restaurant Barbantes (By Carmelo España)

One of my favourite restaurants is Barbantes, It is located just behind the department store, El Corte Inglés, in the center of Vigo, in the Cuba Street, 3. It's the best Galician cuisine restaurant I know.

This establishment is quite small. The old-fashioned furniture makes the atmosphere very cosy. The waiters are always in high spirits and they are really kind to the customers.

As you come into the restaurant, you see the tables and a bar where you can have some "tapas" and "bocatas", like tortilla, squids and the mussels which are delicious.

In my opinion, every dish you order will be tasty. The portions are big and with a lot of food. One thing you shouldn't do is leave without trying the squids and mussels. You can also enjoy eating "Higado encebollado" (liver fried with caramelized onions).

Even though it's rather a cheap restaurant, I recommend it because of the high quality of all their products.

L´squina restaurant

I recommend this restaurant. It is in the centre of Vigo, in Rúa Carral, 4, 36202. They make delicious sandwiches. L`squina is very economical and they have a friendly atmosphere. They make the sandwiches and pizzas with bread with malta which  is very tasty.

the Othilio Bar

I´m going to write a post about "The Othilio Bar".
This restaurant is located in Luis Taboada Street, number 9 in Vigo. The telephone number is 986 190017. You should book a table because it´s always full. The restaurant is located in the centre of the city, near the Port. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is a mix between cosy and modern. The result is a very friendly atmosphere.
It´s a bit expensive, but at lunch time you can have the set menu that´s not as expensive as a la carte.The Price of the set menu is about 15 euros, but only at lunch time.
This restaurant serves a New Concept of food mixing traditional Galician food with Asian food. The result is a new wave or a kind of revolution in cooking food.
The wine list is also very good. You can choose from between Galician wine, Catalonia wine, Rioja Wine, Rivera and also French and German wine.
The restaurant is open at 9 o´clock in the morning, so you can have breakfast there. It's open till 12 o´clock p.m., so it offers three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
My favourite dish is Tataki of Tuna which is a typical Asian dish, with rawfish - in this case Tuna.
The desserts are also delicious, and the chocolate Brownie is my favourite.
The cook, whose name is Carlos, is a very kind person, like the other members of the staff.

Amazonas bar is a very nice place to meet friends and take a break.
To start with, it is big and it has a lively and trendy atmosphere. 
There are comfortable sofas with mobiles too, that makes you feel at home.

Indoor

As for the menu, this bar only serves drinks. This might sound dull...but it isn't. In the Amazonas Bar, you can try delicious milkshakes (oreo, chocolate, kit kat, strawberry...) with different things: cookies, donuts, candies... In the menu, there are also special coffees, teas , alcoholic drinks or slushes.

Then there is the service which is very efficient. The waiters are polite and kind, and the prices are good value for money. 

By the way, I recommend you try this milkshake.
