Iván Ferreiro

Iván Ferreiro is a rock and rock-pop singer. He´s Galician, from Nigrán, and he started his career in the group of  "Los piratas" in 1990. They broke up nine years ago, but Iván didn´t leave the music world.

He began to play and sing with his brother, Amaro, in "El ensanche", in Vigo. Little by little, they became famous making covers. Since then, Ivan´s played with groups or singers like Pereza, Quique Gonzalez or the Galician Xóel López. He edited his first disc in 2005 and he´s made four more since then.

This summer, I had the opportunity to hear him when I went to a festival called PortAmérica, in Nigrán, his birthplace. Iván sang songs from his old group and others written by himself. Also, he played the piano while his brother played the guitar. It was a great concert and I hope to hear him again as soon as possible.
